Meet Lennae...

My philosophy

Using a relationship-base approach, I build a safe, comfortable place for teachers and directors to share their success and struggles, set goals, get feedback, and achieve their teaching, leadership and personal potential. Every plan is individualized to provide the coaching, support, resources, and time needed to set goals and work towards them. Intervention is meant to be meaningful, effective and PRACTICAL! As a former teacher, its important to me that the interventions recommended can be successfully implemented with the resources you already have.

Mutual trust, professionalism, respect, honesty, openness, reliability and competence are the core values of our relationship.

As a Colorado mountain native, I'm passionate about nature. Nature based learning isn't limited to programs in the mountains or with access to natural outdoor spaces. Nature based learning can be achieved IN a classroom ANYWHERE! I support teachers and programs in making this transition easy, affordable, and fun!

Personal Journey

A Routt County native and graduate of SSHS, I went to college in Forest Grove, OR at Pacific University. I studied Education and Learning, graduating with bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Psychology. After graduating, I spend 2 summers in Zambia, Africa, working as a TA for a psychology professor, teaching "Nurturing Reverence for Life", an introspective psychology course about the connections we have with humans, animals (chimpanzees) and nature, taking place at the Chimfunshi Wildlife Sanctuary. While there I also built a school for the local children, trained teachers, and registered it with the national Ministry of Education.

My love for travel didn't stop there. I worked as an AuPair in Switzerland for 2 years, travelling all over Switzerland and Europe. Traveling solo, with  friends and family, I opened my mind to new cultures, history, and global exposure. I volunteered in the International School programs that my kids attended.

In 2010 I returned permanently to Routt County. I've continued my love of learning and have earned a masters in Early Childhood Special Education, trained as a Registered Behavior Technician and provided ABA therapy. I traveled to India with the Global Autism Project and worked at a special education center. Working as a preschool teacher, special education teacher, early interventionist, adult 18-21 transition specialist, registered behavior technician, and large center director, I have dedicated my career to providing high quality care to all children, developing high quality centers, and supporting other professionals in the field.
